P7-L5-Ritual Stories

Phase 7 – Lesson 5
Shree Satyanarayana Ritual stories

There are four stories spread across five chapters in the ritual. The stories are actually meant to convey the message to you that, how deep ever problem, you are into, you can come out of those problems, if you do this ritual. Some people, after taking the OATH of doing this ritual, they keep postponing due to their laziness. There are several others who do various mistakes in the ritual. These stories are meant for you to understand that you should not do those mistakes like the people in the stories.

Before revealing the yantra and ritual, I suggest you to read these stories, so that you consciously get connected to the divine frequency (you are already doing the related mantra in the nights, before you sleep). For every story, I explain the spiritual knowledge (which you do not find anywhere) so you can understand the spiritual secrets behind this ritual.

There specific days which are good to perform this ritual. If you are Indian, you know “Ekadashi” day and Purnima day (full moon day). If you are not Indian or if you want to do this ritual, prefer a FULL MOON DAY and do the ritual.  If you want to do on any other days, probably you can message me, asking me about the good day to do this ritual. I will be happy to tell you the good days to do the ritual.

Chapter  1

In the forest of Naimisha, Sages Shounaka etc assembled around Sage Soota, disciple of Sage Vyasa, and asked him, “in the age of Kali (current age, kaliyuga), is there a solution to the strife faced by human beings on earth?” Sage Soota told them, “O great sages, you have asked a very good question for the benefit of the world. The same question was posed by Sage Narada to Lord Vishnu himself long back and I will repeat to you what Lord Vishnu told Sage Narada.”

Then Sage Soota proceeded to recount to them the ritual of Lord Satya Narayana, as taught by Lord Vishnu to Sage Narada.

OATH: One day, you can chant the mantra “Hariom Satya Naa-raa-ya-naa-ya” for few times, and tell the lord that you will do his ritual (Shree Satyanaryan Ritual) on so and so day and start preparing for it (making sure you will be available on that day). If you naturally miss that day, do it on the next full moon day. Or as said earlier, you can message me about the good day to do the ritual. After knowing the good day, you can take the oath as said above.

Chapter  2
Story 1

An old brahmana (Brahmin is he who lives for god realization by serving the people in various ways of giving knowledge to them) in a place called Kashi was suffering from poverty despite being very wise and learned.

In ancient days, Brahamanas are not supposed to earn big money etc but they used to live purely by the offerings of the society. Brahmanas are also quite well educated by all spiritual knowledge and vedas. It was not actually begging, but those days, people used to respect the Brahamanas as they used to serve the society. So all the people used to give them whatever they could by which those Brahmanas used to live. So this Brahmana was living like that at the place called Kashi.

One day, Lord Shree Satya Narayan appeared in front of him in a disguise form and taught him how to perform the ritual of Lord Satya Narayana and left. The old brahmana decided to do the ritual on the next day. One day, in the morning, he takes the oath of doing the ritual of Shree Satya Narayan and then he goes out getting help from the people. That day, unlike all days, people would actually give him some money and also various other food related pulses and seeds which he could cook and eat.

After taking the oath, he fasted that day (he remained without food).  and he used the money he got by begging that day to buy materials for the ritual. He performed the ritual and the Lord was pleased. After doing the ritual, his life got better. He started living comfortably without any financial and food related problems. He continued doing that ritual for every six months throughout his life. He not only transformed in his physical life, but he also transformed spiritually and after his death, he could get liberation and got the vicinity of the Lord Satya Narayan.

Moral of the story: If you do this ritual of lord Shree Satya Narayan, one can not only resolve the problems in their lives but can also evolve spiritually. How greatly educated you are, how rich ever you are at times, you would have some problems in life, for which you cannot identify solutions easily. Your mind would not function and you will find failures in all the attempts you make in your life. Then your education, your richness, your skills and all do not matter. That is due to the obligated karma that you suffer from due to all planetary and divine forces that make you experience the pain. It is like if you have to pay loan to the bank, imagine you skip the EMI for one month, then the related employees of the bank get after you asking for money. But imagine, you get to speak to their manager or boss and imagine, he accepts your nonpayment for that month. So, basically THE BOSS has authority to forgive you for that month. In the same way the super natural power is THE BOSS of all the other employees working for him (like five elements, planetary systems and various other divine forces who do their jobs of granting the karmas that humans need to bear as per their obligations). Such karmas can be overlooked or even cancelled at times if THE BOSS wills. So the super natural power, Shree Satya Narayan is that divine boss who has the ultimate authority to forgive, postpone or even cancel the karmas so you could experience comforts in life and also at the same time you will spiritually evolve towards attaining liberation (of knowing god or your own self).

Chapter  2
Story 2

Then the sages asked Sage Soota for some more stories. The sage told another story. A man who lived by cutting wood and selling it saw this brahmana doing the ritual. He finds the details of the ritual from the brahmana and decides to do the ritual on the next day. So he takes the oath and goes out to sell wood. Surprisingly that day, he would get more money unlike all the other days. He brings all materials required do the ritual and performs the ritual. Lord would be pleased by his ritual and he would continue doing the ritual for the rest of his life and that’s how this wood cutter would also get rich in physical life and his soul also would spiritually evolve and reach the abode of lord Narayana with liberation.  The wood cutter happily lived after starting this ritual in his life.

Moral of the story: Even if you are not educated, even if you do not have any intelligence, even if you have dull mind, if you do this ritual, you will start shining in your businesses and professions after starting this ritual in your life. In this story, just a basic wood seller, could get comforts in his life and at the same time he could evolve spiritually.

Chapter  3
Story 3

When the sages asked for more stories, Sage Soota narrated the story of a businessman called Sadhu. He once saw a king called Ulkamukha performing the ritual of Lord Satya Narayana on the banks of river Bhadrashila. He asked the king what he was doing. King told him that he had everything in life but no children. So he was doing the ritual to beget a child. The businessman also was childless. He learnt the ritual from the king and he took the oath that he would do THE SATYA NARAYAN RITUAL if he got a child.

Surprisingly his wife Lilavati gets pregnant and then she gives birth to a beautiful young girl named Kalavati. When wife reminded him of the oath of “Satya Narayan Ritual”, he would say, “we will do the ritual of Lord Satya Narayana at the time of her wedding”. When the girl grew up, he got her married off and yet he did not perform the ritual. Lord wanted to teach him a lesson.

That businessman went to the far away city of Ratnasanu for business in a ship with his son-in-law. Before entering the city, they got off the ship and they would rest under a tree by taking nap. Some thieves who robbed the king’s palace were being haunted by the king’s soldiers. The thieves, after seeing the business man and his sun-in-law sleeping under the tree, they purposely leave the stolen bags of money under the tree and leave. The palace guards running after them saw the bags next to the business man and his son-in-law, assumed that they have stolen the money of the king. So soldiers would take them to the king and the king without asking any questions imprisoned them. Life got miserable with business man this way.

On the other hand, back home, where his wife and daughter lived, some thieves would rob their house totally.  Both women, Lilavati the wife and Kalavati, the daughter, would have to live their life without money. As the days pass by, their life would get much miserable without any money and help from other people.  Oneday, Kalavati came home late in the night. When her mother asked her the reason for delay, she said that a brahmana was performing, the ritual of Lord Satya Narayana and she stayed till the end of the ritual and took “prasad” (food offered to the God after the ritual). She brings some prasad for her mother. Then Lilavati remembers her husband’s unfulfilled oath of doing the ritual of lord Satya Narayan. So then, she decides to do the ritual herself on a good day. She plans to do the ritual on the river banks as her husband went on sailing for business.

Lord would be pleased by her decision and then enters into the dream of king Chandraketu and tells the King about the story of the actual robbery of his palace.  After knowing the truth, the king would free the business man Sadhu and his son-in-law. King would not only free them, he gives them more money and gold because of his mistake. Then they both would be happily travelling back to their home city by carrying all that money and gold in the boat. Lord Satyanarayan wants to test the business man, if there would any change in his character after all that suffering. So, on the way back, they would anchor their boat in the river and on the shore they would be taking rest.  Then lord Satyanarayan would appear in the disguise of a sage and asks the business man, what is there in the boat. Then, the business man says to the sage that they are carrying some waste material of leaves and grass in the boat. Then the lord in the disguise of the sage blesses them “let it be so” and goes away. After taking rest, they would reach the boat and check then, as they lied to the sage, the boat would be full of the waste material or leaves and grass in place of gold and money. Then the business man would keep crying so loudly. His son-in-law understand their mistake and says the business that “this misery is due to lying to the sage”. Then, they both would go in search of the sage again calling for the sage. The sage (lord in disguise form) would again appear and tells the business man that you are always untruthful to your conscience. You took the oath of doing Shree Satyanarayan Ritual many years ago, you kept on postponing it for many years together. Your misery is due to the postponement of that ritual being untruthful to yourself. Then the business will realize his mistake and takes the oath again in front of the sage (the lord) that after going home, immediately they would perform Shree Satya Narayan ritual. The sage again blesses them as the business man regretted for his mistake. They go to the boat again and find their money and gold being there in the boat. Then, they would start sailing back to their home town.

Moral: Never postpone the divine oaths. Fulfill them as promised. Else you get into some unexpected miseries. Now you may think, god does not have any work or why should he curse us? – The point is God is not cursing you. God is there to clean your system so you will awaken from your sleeping state to become more and more truthful to yourself, your life and to the people around you. That is what is called transformation. You basically put yourself in trouble due to your wrong actions which are against the laws of Nature. Here Lord Shree Satyanarayan is trying to in fact save the business man from his miseries. Even after experiencing the pains, there is no change in the business man and his character. He is so selfish and proud of his money. So he lies to the sage. Usually to the sages, in ancient days, people used to be truthful. Sages only bless the people as they wish in their hearts. Their wishes used to materialize due to the divine blessings of the sages. That’s how the money and gold turned out to be as waste material as the business man said to the sage. So, never lie or have wicked mind towards Gurus or sages. If you can be truthful, be so, else, avoid them. If you get wicked, Nature would show the miseries (gurus and sages do not curse you, Nature would show as per its law). Here lord Satyanarayan (satya means truth) teaches you to be truthful to yourself and to the sages.

Chapter  4

Story 3, continuation

Their boat starts reaching the shores of the river. When their boat reached their home town, Lilavati and Kalavati would just finish their intended ritual of Lord Satya Narayana on the river banks. Kalavati, the daughter of the business man got up without eating prasadam and ran towards her husband in excitement. Then for some time, it appears like the boat is sunk in the river. She would hear the voice of god in the sky, and the voice told her that the misery was because she did not eat prasadam of the ritual. When she went back and took prasadam, she saw that the boat and her husband were fine.  Sadhu the business man recollects all this incidents in his life are the teachings of the lord towards being truthful in life. From then on he performed the ritual twice every month on the Full Moon night and solar ingress day. He lived happily ever after and he along with his wife reached the abode of Lord Satya Narayan attaining the spiritual liberation.

Moral: After completing the ritual, you should not neglect the Prasad of the lord. It shows the kind of interest, love and attention you paid towards the ritual. If the ritual is not done out of love, attention and interest, you would obviously not give importance to the Lord and all the divine energies you would invoke in the ritual. All working divine energies are present in front of you spiritually when you do this ritual. At the call of the CEO or the supernatural power, all other divine forces would come to you to grant you benefits and help you out of your problems. Imagine you invite someone to your house and imagine you do not properly bid them farewell and you abruptly leave them and suddenly go to your office! It is so bad behavior isn’t it? How busy ever you are, once you take up some responsibility, you should fulfill it formally and completely and then only you can go away from that responsibility.  So weather it is a divine ritual or whatever the work you take up by oath, you do it out of passion, interest and with full attention then it will benefit you else, it will become a curse for you which you will have to again bear in life.

Chapter  5

Story 4

A king called Tunga-dhwaja went to a forest for hunting and saw some forest people performing the ritual of Lord Satya Narayana under a banyan tree. As he is king, he usually lives in rich environment and he eats and drinks food in rich vessels. He was not impressed by their idols and vessels made of clay. When they respectfully gave him prasadam, he threw it away and left. Lord wanted to teach him a lesson.

After going to his fort, out of surprise his enemies would attack him. He would lose the battle and he would lose the kingdom, wife, wealth and children. He realizes and regrets that he insulted Lord Satya Narayana and the forest people because of his pride and richness. He went back to the forest, found them, sat along with them and performed the ritual of Lord Satya Narayana with the same clay idols and vessels used by them and this time, he also ate the prasadam made by them. Then, he goes back to his city and with the help of some loyal soldiers he would fight with the enemies and get his kingdom and family back. He gets back his kingdom, wealth and family. He started performing the Satyanarayan Ritual throughout his life and lived comfortably in his life and evolved spiritually towards his soul liberation.

Moral: When you perform Lord Satyanarayan ritual, you can call any of your relatives, friends and neighbors if you are interested. If they cannot come or if you do not prefer them to come to your house, after performing the ritual, you can visit some of your relatives or friends or neighbors or even to some unknown people (poor people on the road), you can share the Prasad to them (in next lesson you will be guided about Prasad and all those details).  Prasad and food or money that you donate after doing this ritual will basically keep some souls in the world happy. By that deed of yours, the divine planet energies and all would be happy.

If you come across Satyanarayan Ritual being held, there you should compulsorily visit that place (even if you are passing by). Shree Satya Narayana Ritual performers should NEVER SAY no to anyone, at the time of performing that ritual, if anyone suddenly visits them. They should treat them out of respect (irrespective of their social status). You should finally give them prasad and send them respectfully. If you can in fact feed them food, it would be much better.

So never ever be proud of your richness, money, status and authority. If you have those personality issues, you should get rid of them. As you keep doing this ritual, you will involuntarily get rid of those personality issues. In front of God or the divine, all are equal. No richness, no education, no social status, no authority matters in front of the divine.

End of the stories

Sage Soota said, “O great sages, this ritual of Lord Satya Narayana gives direct results in Kaliyuga. By performing it or watching it or even by listening or reading the stories of this ritual, human beings can overcome their problems.”
