P3-L2-Locating Chakras

Phase 3 | Lesson 2
Locating Chakras

Note : This lesson is meant for those in whom, the involuntary Kriyas are currently happening also meant for those in whom the involuntary kriyas are not happening.

Chakras are the subtle pools of energies that hold subtle data of the jeevatma (soul that is tied to the Nature). Mind, emotions, rational mind, chiatah (memory), karma, Sanskaras (or vasanas or traits) of the soul are indirectly connected to these chakras through five elements. A chakra is an energetic wheel or vortex of energy found in the subtle body. Prana, life force energy, circulates through various nadis, pathways of energy. The seven main chakras align with the Sushumna Nadi, or central channel in your backbone. Along the Sushumna Nadi the Ida (lunar/female) and Pingala (solar/male), nadis are entwined like two snakes joining at the sixth chakra.

The lower chakras are nothing but five elements within you that are connected to your five Gnanedriyas (through which you perceive this world). These are five data collection points – mouth, nose, skin, eyes and ears. Karmendriyas are five action points which are hands, legs, mouth, sexual organ and anus. In between these two input-output points, the subtle aspects of these are , seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching which are connected to five elements, earth, water, fire, air and space.

These chakras are connected to 24 evolutes of the soul (Gnanendriyas 5 + 5 karmendriyas + 5 of their subtle abilities + 5 elements + mind + intellect + chittah+Ahankara / Ego) – These 24 are the parts of the soul package.

All these directly have impact through five elements.

The soul is tied to the Nature / Prakriti due to its mainly vasanas / traits which are directly connected to Karma. That karma that you owe to the Nature (this world which is like womb), makes you go through several thousands of births and deaths.

To cross this cycle, when the time comes, the lord comes down purposely by buying the pains (of taking body) to help the souls cross this cycle. He comes in the form of Guru. He also comes into your life, because you went through lot of pains in your life and you cried for him either because of pains or to know the truth (or GOD).

You are required to know the locations of the Charkas as you will be given a Kriyas to go through these chakras.

Change required in the way you meditate (method of meditation)

In case you are following any other methods of meditation such as concentrating on the breath or tratak etc, you stop all those methods from today. You cannot follow those methods and this method in parallel. If you have to walk the path of Omism, this is the method of meditation that needs to be adopted. You may find it a bit difficult in the beginning but later as you practice in about 12 days, you will find it comfortable and easy with the grace of the Guru. But you will have to leave other methods of meditation that you were practicing earlier.

You can look at the following picture for quick understanding

Chakra Locating Kriya

You do not have to worry that you are not able to see the chakras inside. Chakras do not appear to all as wheels and all. You follow the video given below. Even if you are not able to locate the chakra location perfectly, do not worry. As you practice, you will naturally be guided there from within.  As you keep practicing, day by day, slowly your mind will start moving to the right location naturally.

Also if you are confused about the names of the chakras, you can just recognize them with the names of five elements

From down to top of the head, you can go like earth, water, fire, air and space chakras. You can call them like Earth Chakra, Water Chakra, Fire Chakra, Air Chakra and Space Chakra.  You do not need to have difficultly in remembering the names of the chakras.

But from down to top, the sequence goes like this …

  1. Earth chakra – Muladhara Chakra
  2. Water Chakra – Svadhishana Chakra
  3. Fire – Manipura Chakra
  4. Air – Anahata Chakra
  5. Space – Vishuddha
  6. Agna Chakra or 3rd Eye– Between Eyes
  7. Sahasra Chakra / chakra on top of the head

Imagining the Diya or Deepak or Candle Light

You will have to imagine the candlelight or diya or Deepak or jyoti at the location of the chakra. The diya or Deepak or candle light is the actual form of the supreme soul or god. In fact that is the form of every soul too. That is the very reason why, during death ceremonies, either you are Christian or Hindu, diya or candle light is lit.

See the following picture

In the above picture, the picture in the middle is Narayana or the supreme lord. Top Shiv ling shrines in India are called Jyotirling. This is the reason behind. When given in lessons, you should understand easily without any reasoning. But still for your rational satisfaction this explained.

Antaryami

Antaryami means, the one in the deep inside of all. That one is nothing but the supreme soul, deep within every jeevatma (our soul).  That supreme soul’s form is Diya or Candle light or Jyoti. The picture of Diya or candle light is the picture in the consciousness. You’re your consciousness is disturbed with many thoughts and other visuals and emotions, the picture of jyoti or candle light won’t appear in your consciousness. When your mind and consciousness is like placid lake, then the picture of jyoti or candle light will appear. That jyoti or candle light is nothing but the Supreme Guru within and the supreme soul. That supreme soul itself is the Guru (in the path of Aumism). The supreme soul is called Antaryami. Means, he is the one deep within all. So keep practicing this method of kriya meditation, as you practice your connection and integration with the supreme soul or the supreme guru keeps increasing day by day. As said above, it is the practice of the life time, which has to be done till the last breath of life. So keep practicing. Lord Narayana is called the Antaryami. You will be introduced to Lord Narayana in future lessons.

So, you will be imagining the candle light or Jyoti at the chakra locations and then do the Kriya as explained in the video. So the question of SEEING CHAKRAS IN THE FORM OF CHAKRAS will totally go away. So, you erase the opinions or beliefs that you will see some wheels or chakras. In case they are required or meant to appear to you, naturally they appear, as you keep practicing the kriya. But if see them, it does not mean, you are great. If do not get to see them, it does not mean you are of low level. Remove such thoughts totally from the mind. Just do the kriya by erasing all such opinions and beliefs from your mind. Guru or the Nature is the doer here. You are not the doer.

Chakra Locating Kriya – Method of practice

There are two variations in locating chakras, based on the comfort of the practitioner.

Some people are comfortable in locating the chakras, from the front side of the body.

Some people are comfortable in locating the chakras, through the spine.

I present you both videos here. You can watch the videos and practice locating the chakras by closing the eyes accordingly.

Before starting, locating the chakras, first, sit comfortably, close your eyes, imagine Diya or Jyoti or Candle Light at your 3rd eye and chant the mantra of Guru, “Oum Shreem Guru Dakshinamurthy Namaha”. Chant this mantra for few times and then get into the kriya of locating the chakras.

I suggest you to watch both videos and then you will have proper idea. When you close your eyes, you can check both methods (front side and through spine). As per your comfort you can choose the method. May be you will not be able to identify the comfort quickly. But after few days of practice, you can easily identify, which method you are comfortable with. Accordingly you can follow that method.

Video 1: This video is for those who are comfortable in locating the chakras from the front side of the body.

(Note : Please do not share the videos from Lessons. They are private videos, meant only for you)

Video 2: This video is for those who are comfortable in locating the chakras through the spine or backbone.

(Note : Please do not share the videos from Lessons. They are private videos, meant only for you)

Practice your comfortable method, for 12 days to 15 days and then you will feel the kriya quite easy and you will get used to the kriya.

In this month, the last lesson will be about “Navigating through the chakas”. Do not attempt that lesson quickly. After practicing “Locating the chakras Kriya” for 12 days to 15 days, then, you go to the last lesson. Without practicing the basic kriya, it is not advised to attempt the higher kriya (the last lesson in this phase or month)

Doing This Kriya 3 times  a day

Minimum, three times a day, it is advised to do this kriya (upward and downward becomes one set. Like that three sets minimum, you should per day for the duration of 12 to 15 days).

The more you do this kriya, the more chakras start opening and later it becomes (in later higher kriya) easy to pierce through the chakras.
